I am an Account Manager at Lineage Logistics, I’ve been with the firm for over five years since starting out as a business apprentice straight from school. Over the years my confidence has gone from strength to strength; for anybody to look at me or have seen me play on a rugby pitch you wouldn’t have thought this would’ve been an issue, but we can all overcome our fears. I now manage a portfolio of clients, having built up relationships based on trust, hard work and determination.
Having played rugby, been captain of a hearty bunch of lads and also playing football from being a child to this day, I’d like to think I’m a good team player, friend and somebody people can rely on. When I’m not playing sports, I like going for walks and eating out.
On the 2nd June 2018 I was attacked along with my lifelong friend Matthew Hayden. I’d like to say that I was lucky that I didn’t suffer many physical injuries, but there’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think about the incident and watch my friend learn to live with his lifelong brain injury.
I was honoured when Matty asked me if I wanted to become a trustee of After Matters. I know what this means to him and my fellow trustees so I am hoping I can add value in raising awareness of brain injury and offer help and support to friends and families from the experience I’ve gained.
